Introduction

My photo album contains photographs I have taken since the early-1990s to the present day. There are quite a lot of images, as you can imagine! What I have done is categorise the photos by subject to make it as easy as possible to navigate. The variety of images is an mix of all sorts of subjects that I have committed to either photographic film or a digital sensor. The album is being added to on a continuous basis.

Points to note:

I have displayed the photos in a consistent format. Underneath each photo, which are all individually numbered, I have stated the technical details of each photograph, which is generally the date it was taken, camera and lens used, shutter speed, aperture and any other details such as if I used a filter. Underneath these details, in some cases, I have added comments about the photograph, such as the location or something else relevant to it. The technical details are in an italic font, the general comments are in ‘normal’ text font, to differentiate the two. In some cases, all of the photos on a subject were taken on the same date, in which case the date will be noted at the top of the page rather than state this for each photograph.
Regarding the technical details - in some cases, these details are missing, so I have stated whatever details I have on the photograph such as the film used. Also note that for the photographs taken with the digital camera, the lens aperture used might not be exactly correct. This is because the setup I have is a Leica SL(typ 601) camera body with Leica R series lenses, which requires the use of a lens adapter, where the camera has to estimate the aperture used and is not always correct. If you want to know what medium was used for a photograph, realise that from 1992 to 2017 I used film; from 2024, I use a digital camera, so you will be able to see from the date the photograph was taken whether I used film or digital.
The photos shown on each page are displayed in relatively low-resolution, for two reasons - to minimise copyright theft, and to keep the file sizes down, otherwise the pages might take a long time to load.

Photography is an art form and very subjective, so photographs that appeal to someone might not to someone else; the technique employed to take photos can vary widely from subject to subject.
